About half of the players who have purchased Control-resonant/">Control Resonant had not played the original Control, according to Remedy Entertainment. The studio said reaching new players was a key goal for the game, which sold more than one million units in its first three weeks.

The early performance contributed to a strong third quarter for Remedy in fiscal 2026. The company reported revenue of €39.6 million, up from approximately €12.2 million in the same quarter a year earlier. It also recorded EBITDA of €6.8 million and an operating profit of €0.6 million.

“Reaching new players was a key goal for this game,” CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon said in a statement to investors, adding that the results point to a growing audience for the franchise and Remedy. Control Resonant is the studio’s first self-published game.

Remedy also reported that sales of the original Control exceeded both the comparable period and the first two quarters of this year, but did not provide figures. The company said console players in Brazil are becoming a larger market for its games, reflecting traction in what it described as growth markets since the game’s pre-order campaign began.

The game has 2.4 million outstanding wishlists. Remedy said its priority is to reach more players, drawing on player reviews, its presence in target markets and the wishlist base. The studio plans to support longer-term sales with organic visibility and targeted marketing, while prioritizing spending on actions with a clear return.
