Arkane Lyon is weighing multiple bids as Microsoft looks to sell the studio, according to a report by Bloomberg. No offer has yet come close to a deal, and the reported options include a bid from Ubisoft and a sale to Arkane’s own management.

A sale could allow the Lyon-based studio to continue work on Marvel’s Blade, announced in 2023 and expected to be released within the next one to two years. The report did not disclose details of Ubisoft’s offer.

Arkane and Ubisoft have worked together before on games including 2006’s Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. Microsoft is also reportedly considering a deal that would make Arkane independent under its current management.

Founded in 1999 and acquired by ZeniMax in 2010, Arkane is known for games such as Prey, Dishonored and Deathloop. Arkane Austin, a separate US branch, closed in 2024 following the release of Redfall.
